LO8 / 14. Apply critical theories to interpret and solve creative problems in a range of contexts

Hi readers,

In this article, I am going to demonstrate the creative problems, which I had in 3D character modeling project.

I created a human character in character design’s project. She looks fine in the beginning without rigging and skinning…, as you can see through above picture, she doesn’t have elbows and knees. Actually I put the edges of elbows and the knees for my character but then it totally over the Tris which we are requested, it is the low poly character,1000 Tris.

After I started posting my character, I didn’t know which position she can pose….because I can’t bend her easily 😥
but then I found a way to bend her look not too weird around all the characters but still can see the weird structure on her elbows…
In conclusion, it is necessary to make sure every step when you build your character in 3Ds max. If you build a nice character in the beginning but something ruined in the rigging part…it’s pity encounter with this problem… and you will take a lot of time to fix this mistake.
Digital-tutors is a really good resources for searching the technique and they also have the project file for practicing!
